As a kid, I hated getting my picture taken. I was the one who'd hide under my mom's skirt, and I have a hilariously grumpy childhood passport photo to prove it. I know I'm not alone, and I firmly believe that the best photographs are those in which the subject feels at ease. Creating an easy, natural environment allows families to settle in and create artistic photographs that capture the delicate nuances of family life. Young kids are encouraged to run, jump and explore—which brings out their smiles without needing to say 'cheese.'

And images that reflect the beauty of each intimate moment. Think of this session as a family excursion (or special afternoon at home) where you can just be. By encouraging playful encounters and moments of joy, we'll create genuine photo opportunities.
We have a documentary approach to family sessions and place our focus on capturing candid moments as they occur. And when we aren't busy being a fly on the wall, we'll be able to photograph some stress-free, smiling-at-the-camera images.

at-home sessions
This is a great option for youngsters and newborns. I'll travel to your home to capture you in your nature element, with the option to incorporate fun activities in the yard or kitchen.

outdoor sessions
Let's go to the prairie, to the woods, to the orchard. These sessions are for all families interested in an easy-going photography experience in a beautiful outdoor setting.
$450 | 60+ images | 60 minutes
extended family sessions
These sessions are an opportunity for the entire family to get photos they love—both candid and posed. We'll come with a shot list to make sure we get all the combinations!
