Alicia and Skyler live in one of my very favorite parts of Minneapolis. It’s quaint and quiet, yet so close to the heart of the city. So when they decided to go for a neighborhood engagement session, I was 100% on board.
We began the session indoors with their pup and some board games, then went on a walk together—passing by some Twin Cities staples (my fav Turtle Bread) on our way to the Mississippi River.
Couples sessions are always a highlight of the wedding planning process, for me. It gives me such an amazing head-start on getting to know couples prior to their special day. And a neighborhood engagement like this—even more so! I always feel so lucky to come into a couple’s home and photograph them in their safe place.
I did a hybrid of film and digital for Alicia & Skyler’s neighborhood engagement session. I was so excited to get back the film for this shoot, and I especially love how vibrant and summer-y the greens look in the film images. If you’re interested in a hybrid shooting approach, I offer a variety of packages that include film! Mention it during the inquiry process to learn more.
